Online Journal 14

I'm not sure if I have to do a journal this week, but just in case, here it goes. I have enjoyed the three extra days off this week, even though I did not get much accomplished. My monitor decided it was time to die. It won't even turn on anymore so I have to do work at my brothers. I had a wonderful Thanksgiving...thanks for asking. Ate too much as usual. I have been working on my projects trying to get everything exactly how I want them and trying to find the places where I got my info. I did not write alot of my sources down as I went so that caused a small problem. I think I have the "citing" pretty well much taken care of now. I just need to put them in the project. I had to do alot of searching and it took up alot of time. It seems as though the vacation hasn't really been much of a vacation. One more week of classes and then finals and I am done...thank goodness. I have been absolutely stressed out this semester and not behaving like my normal fun-loving self. Even the grad students have noticed that I am not cutting up as much as I usually do. They say I am the only thing that brings them thru a day sometimes and that I have been letting them down. Guess I haven't felt very cheery lately. I am not sure when everything has to be complete for this 315 class...it's kind of scary because I don't have a clue as to what my grade will be. Guess I will have to wait and see. I think that is all for now.
Later,
Cindy

Online Journal 13

It seems as though the superstition that is affiliated with #13 was not in effect this week for me. Everything has been going smoothly, though a few of my classmates experienced difficulties. I am overjoyed to be getting 3 days off next week and looking forward to relaxing at home. I completed the peer review assignment early this week and have been finishing up on organizing my table of contents. I have also done some more work on my Powerpoint and deleted a few files that I was unable to delete earlier. Maybe Antville has been doing a little work on the site for the deleting problem I experienced weeks ago. While doing my peer review assignment I realized I wasn't the best reviewer there is out there. I think alot of my classmates feel the same way. I think we try to do our best without stepping on anyones toes. It is hard to look at someone else's work and give advice on how to change it without knowing what the person had in mind. I did not really use any special techniques to complete my assignments. Just took some pointers from Mrs. McComas and ran with them. I don't really have a whole lot to write about tonight so I think I will use this space to talk about my new puppy. ...Well, Matt's new puppy. I got him a Jack Russel Terrier for an early Christmas present. She is the most darling thing ever. She has a brown ring around one eye and the other one is completely white. We still have not named her yet, but have several ideas. We are waiting to see which ones suits her the best. She is laying in my lap as I am typing. Well, I have no questions thus far. I am going to end for now!

Online Journal 12

This week has been pretty good for me! I have been on and off of the computer all week tweaking all of my projects. Everything is finally coming to a head! Writing the Preface and Acknowledgements proved to be a fairly easy task. On the other hand, I have had some trouble deciding how I want to do my About The Author. I started out just writing it as if I was a 3rd party speaking about myself. It was coming along fine, but then I thought I would like to do a little something more creative than that. I visited Mrs. McComas's blog and loved how she done hers. I don't want to copy though, even though I am jealous that I didn't think of it first!! I started it again but have decided to go ahead with my journal entry and come back to it. I may do an acrostic poem using my name to describe myself. Who knows? I finished all of my peer responses and noticed that Allison and Geneva have both began to put citations in their works, guess I had better get on the stick! Also, I noticed they have began to organize their topics pages. I need to do that to. I have lots of stuff planned for the next week...organizing my topics page, putting in citations, putting down some more resources I have used, and working on putting links in my unifying genre. I figure that will be on this weeks assignments anyway. I have a few questions about the APA references. I went to the Clinic Office and the only APA manual in there was the 4th edition. I took a look at it but it only confused me more. I will have to ask around and see if I can round one up that is 5th edition. That's all for now dear Journal!
